Chocolate in Summer and Spring

Don't forget to indulge in our delicious chocolate, even in the hotter months.

Here are some tips to enjoy our chocolate during spring and summer:

1) TEMPERATURE should not exceed 20°C. The perfect temperature for storing chocolate is between 13 and 18 degrees. When the temperature is greater than 20°C, the cocoa butter crystals melt, altering the taste and consistency of the product.

2) DARK CHOCOLATE IS BETTER. In addition, milk chocolate starts to melt at about 2°C less than dark chocolate, so in summer, it's better to choose chocolate with a high cocoa percentage, because it resists heat better.

3) STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE: Chocolate hates heat and humidity. Ideally, it should be stored in a cupboard away from sources of light and heat. What about the fridge? Only put it in the fridge if it's a last resort, and even then in an airtight container to protect it from moisture and to prevent it from absorbing odors from other food.

4) PAIRINGS: in summer, chocolate can be eaten with colder foods like gelato or yogurt and fruit. Chocolate with lemon, such as our Limoncello, is perfect to accompany your summer aperitivo as well!

In addition, to ensure the products we deliver are properly kept, from May through September, we choose not to dispatch on Fridays to prevent goods sitting in warehouses over the weekend and we use a temperature control system when sending orders.
